How to Connect Your TryInteract Quiz with Your Flodesk Account</a>

Heads up: this post may contain affiliate links. In other words, if you make a purchase using my link, you won’t pay a dime more but I’ll earn a small commission. My chips and salsa fund thanks you from the bottom of its heart… er stomach?

Did you know that quizzes can be super effective in helping you grow your email list and make it easy to segment your audience? And when it comes to quiz building, TryInteract is my favorite platform.

I’ve already covered how you can embed TryInteract quiz into your Squarespace website but recently they released a new integration with Flodesk that makes it easy to connect your Flodesk account with your TryInteract account without using a third-party tool like Zapier. And in this tutorial, I’ll show you how to connect it all together.

How to Connect TryInteract and Flodesk (no Zapier required!)

Before the new integration was released, you had to use Zapier to connect your TryInteract quiz results with your Flodesk account. But now, with this new feature, there is no need to use a tool like Zapier. For this tutorial, I’ll use a duplicate of the quiz I’ve built with TryInteract and my Flodesk account. Let’s take a look at how it’s done.

And by the way, if you want to add your Flodesk forms to Squarespace, I’ve got you covered with this tutorial.

Set Up Your TryInteract Results

The first thing that you need to do is to make sure that the lead generation setting is toggled to on. Then you can configure the form fields and the information that you want to collect with your TryInteract quiz. I recommend you have first name and email address set up as this makes it easier to make your nurture emails more personal.

You can set up whether you want people to be able to skip this step and go straight to the results as well as if you want to display the link to your privacy policy and enable GDPR compliant consent checkbox on opt-in form. Keep in mind that if you toggle that on, then you need to allow users to skip that opt-in form and go straight to the results.

Once you've configured that click on Save and continue.

Connect Flodesk With TryInteract

Then, it’s time to select your email marketing integration. In this case, select Flodesk. You’ll get a popup asking you to allow Flodesk to connect with your account so click on Allow and follow the prompts to grant all the necessary permissions so that TryInteract and Flodesk can communicate. Once you’ve connected the two accounts, you need to set up the results correctly.

In other words, when somebody gets a specific result, you want to add them to a specific segment so that you can send them personalized tips based on the quiz results that they got.

Mapping Quiz Results to Flodesk Segments

First, you need to select a trigger and make sure that the proper quiz result is selected. And then, under actions you want to click Add to segment. And then you need to select the correct segment for that result. You can also update a custom field if you want or if you’re collecting any custom information. Click Save and repeat the same process for all the quiz results that you have.

Keep in mind that if you want your subscribers to get the same sequence, then you can click on apply to all the results. But if you have separate sequences or separate segments for different quiz results, then you need to repeat this process and make sure that the results are mapped to the correct segment.

You also have the option to map certain quiz answers to a specific segment.

And then what you need to configure after that is whether you want Flodesk to have double opt-in or not.

When you’re done, click Save and continue. And then you need to map the fields from TryInteract and make sure that they match up with Flodesk fields.

The last step is to test the integration and see if you've set it up correctly. To do this, click on Test integration and then enter your email and first name. And then, click on Send test lead to my list and this will pop up with a success message if you configured everything correctly.

Final Thoughts

And that’s all you need to do to integrate TryInteract with Flodesk. If you want more Squarespace tutorials, then checkout the suggested reading below and if you want step-by-step guide on how to launch your Squarespace website, then click the image below to download my free Squarespace roadmap.
